VIDEO PRODUCER
Are you creative with video?
Web savvy?
Can you work collaboratively?
Can you teach?
If you said yes, we may have a job for you.
We're a North Florida newsroom ready to move into video story telling in a big way. That's where you come in.
We need someone with excellent video skills. We need someone who can coach our staff. We need someone who can get the work on the Web.
Much of your job would be providing the technical backbone to producing a daily video blog. (But a caution! This won’t be TV on the Internet.)You will help create, design, shoot, edit and produce it.
Another big part will be further developing the multimedia skills of our photographers and reporters, as helping plan video coverage of news, sports and entertainment stories.
We already have an award winning website, Jacksonville.com. It is growing fast. It is partnering with such groups as Yahoo. Our staff is eager to move forward, to be the best.

We are looking for someone who can anchor and host a daily news/features segment on Jacksonville.com (the web site for The Florida Times-Union) and who can handle a variety of daily reporting assignments. - We want someone who knows audio and video and how to use these media to tell the story.
- We want someone who is confident in front of a camera.
If this job has your name written all over it, then here’s what we want you to do:
- Read the Times-Union online at Jacksonville.com so you will know something about Jacksonville and the First Coast
- Send us a 2-minute video on a DVD showing us how you would do your own daily news/features show based on what you've read. Tell us about the news of that day, what’s coming up, and what you hear people talking about.
- Tell us in 250 words why this job is meant for you and why you are meant for it. (If you don’t have access to your own camera and DVD recorder, send us a script.)
- Send us a resume.
