Outstanding community newspaper group in a growing market seeks a news leader who is able and eager to manage news coverage across multiple platforms by collaborating with our convergence partners in broadcast and interactive media. We are much more than a 29,000 circulation daily newspaper, a twice-weekly, three weeklies and a variety of niche publications and we need much more in a news leader than an ordinary editor. Our newsroom is also home to a bureau for WBTW News13, a CBS affiliate serving the Florence-Myrtle Beach, SC market.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of newspaper news experience with at least five years in a leadership role in a daily newspaper newsroom. The right person will understand the necessity of maintaining the highest ethical standards while attacking the changing dynamics of the newspaper and mass media industry with a passion that seeks new opportunities instead of trepidation. We offer an opportunity to pursue excellence and good pay with generous benefits. EOE/D/V/M/F Background/Drug Screen required.
